Remarkable midwives in practice 25 years or more are invited to join and form a council providing experienced knowledge to share in ways that we can due to our experience. This council will be called "Senior Remarkable Midwives of United Wisdom" If you would like more information please feel free to call.

A council of midwives has been founded January 1st, 2004 by Eveith at "A Texas Midwife" for midwives with direct experience of 25 years and more in practice. Midwives having babies and providing for families prior to 1980 are part of the council. Purpose: What a Senior Remarkable Midwife says is profoundly important to us.

This will be a place for us all to listen to a midwife who knows more than we do. With the global audience we have a lot to say, to protect, to teach and the build. "A senior remarkable midwife" provides knowledge and experiences unlike any others.

GOALS:

  • Forming a united group to teach others and create the future from the wisdom of our past.
  • A member is a teacher sharing possibilities of how to care for this profession in the future, and support the development of others.
  • We will challenge the status quo, plan appropriately for the future, execute good judgment for growth and change for the future and document this for us all to consider.
  • A code of ethics will be developed from the standpoint of a senior midwives point of view.

A Senior Remarkable Midwife will:

Document your first birth in the archives of the library using records, letters, pictures, your story, video, audio, or a written document.

A Senior Remarkable Midwife will: Support the opening and expansion of a midwife library by spreading the word to build it and to encourage people to donate books, by mail or drop off. The library will be supported by the senior midwives and open to all midwives and mothers, children and all health care professionals of related fields.

Senior Remarkable Midwives are:

Always available to answer questions about this council, provide service to others as needed.

Midwives in practice 25 years or more are midwives who have already done extraordinary acts of courage and grace witnessing gentle beginnings, extraordinarily private gentle moments of a birth, between a midwife, a mother, a child, a family and god.
